This Boston early punk band started in 1977. They only lasted for two years, so they have a very small but impressive discography. During that time they opened for many new wave and punk bands between Boston and New York City. They became infamous when their song “They Saved Hitler’s Brain” was banned from the radio in Cambridge. Unnatural Axe were Rich Parsons on vocals and guitar, Tom White on guitar, Frank Dehler on bass, and Dom Deyoun on drums. They tried to make a movie that had to be abandoned, based on this song, “The Creeper” and B-horror movie Twisted Brain, also known as Horror High. Guitarist, Tom, played a nerd who is bullied by everyone around him until he drinks a potion and becomes a murdering punk.
